What is the Michigan Rib Fest?

Metro Times and Ultimate Fun Productions kicks off Michigan Rib Fest Independence Day weekend at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, beginning Friday, July 1 and continuing through Monday, July 4. The M1 Concourse will play host to the event, providing a fantastic backdrop for the family-friendly occasion.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here or at the door at the event.
Before 3pm – $3 /// After 3pm – $5
Kids 5 and under are FREE!

Do you accept credit card payments at the gate for admission to the festival?

You bet! We will accept Mastercard and Visa. There will be a small convenience fee per tickets, so we recommend bringing cash!

Will there be an ATM on-site?

Yes. There will be at least one ATM on-site. It is located in the area convenient to the food booths and beer serving tents.


PARKING NOTICE: We have tried to make it as inexpensive and convenient for you to park at this festival. Please DO NOT park in the private businesses or neighborhoods surrounding M1 Concourse. Violators take the risk of their vehicle being vandalized and/or ticketed and/or towed. Car owners are responsible for their vehicles. Michigan Rib Fest & M1 Concourse are NOT responsible for any vehicles that are damaged, ticketed or towed. 

Guests of Michigan Rib Fest have 2 convenient options for parking:

1. PARKING – $10
Secure parking is available DIRECTLY ACROSS the street from the festival entrance — located just west of the McDonalds ( SW corner of Woodward & South Boulevard) near the corner of Howland St. For GPS purposes use the address 11-39 S Blvd to locate!

Guests who arrive in a classic or performance car can pay $20 to park along the M1 performance track to show off their sweet ride. The $20 parking fee includes admission for the occupants of the vehicle. Vehicle must meet the criteria set by M1 Concourse.


Cars needing handicap parking will be allowed to park on the track.  Parking officials will assist you in parking on the sid pad near  all the activities.  Enter handicap parking at:

Can I leave my car overnight?

Sorry, no… this is a 4 day event and we need the parking for people who want to attend the next day. Any cars left overnight are subject to be towed.

Is Food included in my ticket price?

Your entry fee covers tons of great entertainment and cool things to do. All food and beverages are sold separately.

Do I need an ID?

Only if you want to drink alcohol.

How can I be a vendor?

Vendor applications are available by mail, email, fax, or download from the website. Click here. If you have trouble, email your request to info@michiganribfest.com or call Matt 248-202-4662.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Sorry, no. Outside food and beverage will not be allowed into the event. There are state laws that regulate outside food and drinks from entering licensed festival areas. We will provide plenty of opportunities to try great food and drink while you’re here!

Can I bring my children?

Of course! Michigan Rib Fest is a family-friendly event that features a designated Kids Zone with bounce houses, kids’ karaoke, sidewalk chalk, and much more!

Will there be Taxicabs available after the event?

We have alerted the local cab companies that our event is taking place and they will be on hand as available. If a cab is not immediately available we will assist you in securing a cab. We have provided a list for your convenience in the transportation tab.

Can I reserve seats for any of the shows?

No, all of our entertainment is included with your entry fee and therefore reserved seats are not available. Seats for the shows are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How do I get a press pass?

Working media will be admitted by presenting proper credentials at the Box Office. Please click here to sign up.

ABSOLUTELY! Interested volunteers can submit a simple application to work at the Michigan Rib Fest. Please click here to sign up.

Is there a charity associated with the festival?

Yes, Handy Hearts and Healthy Detroit.

Can I bring my pet?

No, we do not allow pets except for assistance animals.
